Implemented for a period of 7 years, between 2007-2014, through this project we aimed to reduce morbidity and mortality from tuberculosis and limit the spread of infection and disease among poor and vulnerable population groups, their families and communities, through information, education and communication interventions.
Between April and December 2007, in the project funded by the World Bank through an open competition, we contributed to the development of the primary health care network in the Republic of Moldova in order to provide quality and cost-effective services to the population. The analysis of the geographical distribution of the existing primary health care workforce, infrastructure, but also of the necessary services and related costs, led to the development of a Master Plan, validated and accepted by the decision makers, which also included short and medium term investment needs in human resources and infrastructure.
Implemented in 2007, through this project we aimed to increase the awareness of the general population and decision-makers from institutions and public premises regarding the harmful effects of active and passive smoking as well as regarding the legislative provisions in force regarding smoking.
Carried out between 2007-2012, this program contributed to the reduction of tuberculosis transmission among poor and vulnerable populations, their families and communities, through information, education and communication interventions aimed at encouraging the adoption of an appropriate behaviour towards TB prevention and treatment.
In the period 2007-2008, through this project we supported the improvement of the health condition and the increase of access to adequate health services for the population of Roșia Montană.
