Carried out between 2014-2019, through its activities, the project aimed to deliver high-quality services by well-trained emergency teams for the patients that need emergency services at the pre-hospital and hospital levels.rnThe direct beneficiaries are the emergency care physician-nurse team, paramedics, emergency care paedietricians, emergency-care physicians and neonatologists, including nurses, involved in the neonatal transportation, emergency unit heads, other personnel from the emergency units and ambulance services of 12-15 training centres involved in the project.
Implemented in the period 2014-2016, this project made a major contribution to the transformation of paediatric intensive care services and bringing them up to European standards by developing a Paediatric Intensive Care subspecialty, following the recommendations of European networks (European Society of Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care, ESPNIC).
