Implemented between 2009-2012, this project worked towards a more efficient allocation of resources in the health system by developing a costing model for maternal and child health services in the primary care area.
During one year (December 2009 - December 2010), in the project funded by the World Bank through an open competition, we contributed to the revision and improvement of the undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education programs for family doctors in the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with international and local experts. The family medicine chairs at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi and later at Transylvania University joined us in this endeavor. We have also developed and transferred a comprehensive course on practice management in primary health care to local competent institutions.
Implemented in 2009, the project evaluated the impact of the introduction of co-payment in the health contributions/insurance system in Romania.
